Welcome Lexie Ann!

Daddy helping Logan snuggle baby sister. He loves her!

Sleeping angel :-)

With our new little addition, right after delivery. She was born at 12:22 p.m., 8 lbs. 1 oz, 20 1/2 in. long. Labor was a little long, but everything went really well!

Cabinets

Custom cherry cabinets. I am in LOVE with them. I obsessed about which color to have them stained, and now that they're installed I know I picked the right color. Super excited to see the granite and backsplash installed. The upper cabinets on the far left should have glass fronts...they'll be getting switched out :-) Built-ins in the living room surrounding the fireplace (this is looking at them from the kitchen). The house is coming along. It looks like they will start trimming everything out and hanging interior doors tomorrow (Monday). We close on our current house on the 22nd (also baby due date), so we have our fingers crossed that we'll be able to move in not too long after that. We'll see though...it seems like there's a lot to be done still!

More House Pictures

36 weeks pregnant. This was just over 2 weeks ago.

The floor in the laundry room of the new house.
This is our master bathroom. Logan decided that he needed to be in the picture. When I squated down to get a better picture of the floor, Logan decided to squat down too. Silly boy!

Back of the house. It still looks about like this. We're waiting for it to get painted, but the weather hasn't been cooperating :-(

House Construction and a Fat Lip

Roof is almost done. This was this weekend, 2/12/11.

From the back of the house.

Poor Logan! He tripped coming onto the wood and did a full-on faceplant.
It seems like Logan has at least one new word everyday, if not more, or he figures out how to say a word he's been saying correctly. For example, I am no longer "Ma"...I am now "Mom". He also says "milk" and "help" correctly.

Winter 2011

While we were getting ready to leave the house the other morning, I went outside to put the carseat back in the car, leaving Logan for a minute with his cartoons. While I was gone, he found an apple in my work bag and decided it looked tasty. This is where I found him when I came back in the house.
Logan eating his oatmeal with a spoon all by himself. This is one of his newest skills. He loves to eat anything he can with a spoon...yogurt, applesauce, cereal, even grilled cheese and tomato soup!

Logan is getting to be quite the chatterbox, and his vocabulary is steadily increasing. While he doesn't say all of his words correctly, he is regularly making attempts, and Daddy and I can usually understand what he is trying to say. Two of his favorite new words are "cook" and "pup pup" (for his stuffed puppy, of course)!

Winter 2010 / 2011

He is so stinking cute, even when he's in trouble! This is how Logan takes timeout. We tell him he has to look at the wall, which he interprets as forehead and hands on the wall.

I sent Daddy out to get dinner and Logan decided he wanted to go with. He found his coat and this is his attempt at putting it on all by himself. He got one arm in, but that was as far as he got :-)

All ready to watch the Seachickens get their booties kicked by the Bears.

Logan's new quad that he got for Christmas from Grandpa Carpenter. Do you think he likes it?

I went in to get Logan out of his crib one morning, and this is what I found. He was pretty proud of himself. Hoping he doesn't figure out that he can get his diaper off too!

More Fall 2010

Trying Daddy's boots on for size. I think he has a few more years before those are going to work for him.

It was awfully quiet back in Logan's room so I figured I'd better go check on him. Found him in the glider, reading his books.

Logan love bathtime!

Getting our Christmas tree.

Tromping through the tree farm, looking for the perfect tree. Love this picture :-)

Fall 2010

For those of you that actually follow the blog, my apologies! I have been a very bad blogger! This is riding the hayride at the pumpkin patch back in October. Logan wasn't super happy about having to sit still.
Checking out the pumpkins.

Getting a shoulder ride through the corn maze with Daddy. What a view!

Logan the Dancing Boy

Logan loves to dance! Notice how he likes to watch his reflection in the T.V.

Logan Walking

Logan took his first steps about a week ago. We went on vacation and he hasn't had much opportunity to practice, but when we got home today he decided he was ready for walking! He is so proud of himself!

Big Boy Bathtub

Logan has graduated from the baby tub into the big tub. Do you think he's happy?

Love that little naked baby!

Logan the Explorer

Logan is now army crawling, pulling himself up on everything, and has taken to climbing up on what he can!

Spiky hair...my little terror ;-) Haha...he is actually a very happy, easy-going baby...but the hair sure is cute!

Army crawling his pants off!

Set up the toybox and Exersaucer as a barricade to keep Logan away from the T.V. and entertainent center. He then figured out how to crawl through the Exersaucer. Put a toy basket there to fix that problem. Now this morning he has figured out how to climb over his toy box. He is a VERY persistent little thing! Check out Logan's You Tube video of him scaling the toy box...

Now that he is crawling, he visits Sadie regularly.

Logan and his crib

Butt in the air and half a blankie.
Who sleeps with his butt in the air...Logan does!

Logan has recently mastered standing up on everything, so it wasn't too surprising to go get him in the morning and find him standing in his crib. He is so proud of himself!

Random pics

Happy baby!

Auntie Brienn playing with Logan on the changing table. Logan loves his Auntie!

Making like he might crawl. Gets up on his knees and rocks back and forth...not quite crawling yet!

So, we don't crawl, but we do army crawl, and we are very good at getting into the drawers.

Trouble

Momma, I stuck!

Getting into things that he shouldn't, of course!

Mommy's future hunter?
Logan is getting to be quite the mobile little guy. He's not crawling yet, but he has mastered spinning around on his stomach and rolling to what he wants. He loves to try and pull himself up on various things around the living room, although he is only occasionally successful. Standing and holding onto Mommy and Daddy or the furniture is definitely his favorite! Every so often he gets brave and lets go to enjoy a couple seconds of standing all by himself!
Logan has been saying Mama for about a month now...still working on Dada though. He also waved bye-bye to Daddy for the first time about a week ago. Click on the link to check out video of Logan waving to me yesterday in our living room!
